Carol Brown Dances Carol Brown is a choreographer of theatre dance and installation performance, a writer and teacher. Her company, Carol Brown Dances was formed in 1996 and it has become renowned for its cross art form collaborations with visual artists, photographers, film makers, architects and sound designers. | Future plans For the past 3 years, one of the themes of Carol’s work has been the exploration of the interface between the real and the virtual and within this the application of boundary breaking digital technologies. The Changing Room in 2004, created in collaboration with architect Mette Ramsgard Thomsen, was the first production to develop from this research and following on from the success of this pioneering project, Carol and Mette are now collaborating on the realisation of a new work: Sea, Unsea, which again employs new interactive technologies. Sea, Unsea will premiere in autumn 2006. In the interim, Carol is creating a new solo – Arero Stone – commissioned by the New Zealand International Arts Festival, where it premieres on Critical acclaim The neatest possible justification for live art - life, simply, turning into art.
